Using AI for Copywriting
Using ChatGPT and other AI tools to turbocharge your digital media copywriting
In this Quick Win we aim to turbocharge your copywriting by using AI to make your marketing copy more compelling and to increase your efficiency for producing and reviewing copy. Using examples, we’ll show you to use techniques like prompt templates and prompt chaining to efficiently create more specific prompts that deliver better quality output.
There are now many AI-based copywriting options which we’ll review in the tools section. We will then look at practical tips for collaborating with your chosen AI-copywriting tool. Our examples will focus on prompts to use with ChatGPT, which is the most popular and best free option. The principles we cover can be applied to most other AI tools.
What does this Quick Win cover?
Although AI tools are powerful, they are not yet sentient – you still need your intelligence to control them, so we’ll explain the best way to do this by using a step-by-step collaborative process on different forms of copy. We’ll start with general principles for headlines and long-form content and then look at specific tips for search, social media, email marketing and web copywriting.
