Any guidance would be gratefully appreciated!

Hi Paco

As the figures in this post show 44% is a good bounce rate.

23 pages/average is very high – you typically only get that with a community.

It all depends on how well audience knows you and type of content for the future. Blog content has much higher bounce rate.

HTH, Dave

I re-launched my site last week. Today is my 4th day online and I haven´t advertised it yet. I have a bounce rate of 44,44%; 6,53 pages visited and an average visit duration of 4,15 but still only 36 visits only (as I haven´t started to publicized yet). Is this an indication of future trends? In the past, when I had the site online I had 23 pages average visited per person. Thanks for the post!

Hi James, Google withdrew the benchmarking facility summer 2011 when this data was published. They have talked about reintroducing, but they haven’t yet.
